Hereda San Pablo Burgos forward Maksim Salash could not make the return trip from Nizhny Novgorod back to Spain with the rest of the Burgos squad after the final of the Basketball Champions League.
As Burgos informed, the Belarusian player didn’t pass passport control after an alert appeared stating that he had not performed his country’s military service, from which he is exempt due to his status as a professional player.
The club made the necessary procedures, though the player ultimately returned to the hotel where the team has spent the entire week, waiting to solve the appropriate procedures for his return to Spain.
