Three-time EuroCup champion Rafa Martinez will stay with BAXI Manresa for the 2021-22 season according to sources. Martinez joined the team in 2022.
This will be 39-year-old Martinez’s 24th season as professional player. He began with Manresa in 1998 and established himself with the senior team from 2003 to 2008 after being loaned to other clubs.
From 2008 to 2019, Martinez played for Valencia and won the EuroCup titles of 2010, 2014 and 2019, along with the Spanish ACB League of 2019. He then spent one season with Bilbao before returning to Manresa.
