EWE Baskets Oldenburg secured Max Heidegger on loan from Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv for the upcoming season, the team announced Friday.

Heidegger, 24, signed his first professional contract coming out of UC Santa Barbara with Maccabi in 2020. He was loaned to fellow Israeli club Bnei Rav-Bariach Herzliya midway through the 2020-21 season.

He went on to average 18.2 points, 2.7 assists, 2.0 rebounds, and 1.2 steals per Winner League game over 25 appearances attached to Bnei Herzliya.

On to Oldenburg, the up-and-coming point guard will debut in both the Basketball Champions League and Germany’s easyCredit BBL.
