Arnas Butkevicius remains with Rytas for the fifth season in a row

Rytas has re-signed Arnas Butkevicius for the 2021-22 season, the team announced.

Butkevicius, 28, joined the Lithuanian side in 2017 and has since been named captain. Last season, he logged 7.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 2.0 assists, and 1.2 steals per Basketball Champions League match rising his total of BCL appearances to 14, including nine with Neptunas in 2016-17 and 2017-18.

Ivan Buva has also penned a contract extension for the next season. Vaidas Kariniauskas and Margiris Normantas have been the first two summer additions.

Heading to the 2021-22 Champions League Regular Season, Rytas was recently drawn in Group H alongside Hereda San Pablo Burgos, Besiktas Icrypex, and EWE Baskets Oldenburg.
