David Walker stays in Germany but moves to MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and the Basketball Champions League

A new entree for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg ahead of the training camp as David Walker inked a one-year contract, the team announced Friday.

Walker, 27, is coming off one season at medi Bayreuth after four years at MoraBanc Andorra. He logged 8.4 points, 2.8 assists, 2.1 rebounds, and 1.0 steals per contest in his first easyCredit BBL campaign.

The former Northeastern standout becomes the latest addition to Ludwigsburg ahead of the 2021-22 edition of the Basketball Champions League and German competitions. James Woodard, Quinton Hooker, Scottie James, and Jonathan Baehre are already signed. Also, Yorman Polas Bartolo, Jordan Hulls, Jonas Wohlfarth-Bottermann, and Lukas Herzog all penned a contract extension.

The German team is heading back to the BCL for the first time since the 2018-19 season. Lenovo Tenerife, Dinamo Sassari, and one more team jumping out of the qualifiers are the opponents in Group A of the approaching Regular Season.
