Arged BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski has signed Trey Drechsel, the team announced.

Drechsel, 25, became the ninth new player for the Polish League champions. Vangelis Mantzaris, Aleksander Załucki, Damian Kulig, Terry Larrier, James Palmer Jr., Igor Wadowski, Michael Young, and Jakub Wojciechowski were already in.

The American combo guard spent a couple of seasons at Mladost Zemun after coming out of Grand Canyon in 2019. He penned a contract with Partizan NIS last summer and was then loaned to the fellow Serbian club for a second straight stint. He was released by Partizan after launching the 2021-22 season as part of the training camp of the team guided by Zeljko Obradovic.

He averaged 18.0 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per Serbian League contest in his rookie season. Last season, he improved to 22 points per appearance.

His new side has been drawn in Group B of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season along with Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem, Pinar Karsiyaka, and Baxi Manresa.
