SIG Strasbourg has signed experienced center Georgi Joseph, the team announced. With Yannis Morin expected to remain sidelined for several more weeks, the French team opted to pick up the Paris native.

Joseph, 38, has spent nearly his entire career in France via stints attached to ten different teams of the country. Strasbourg marks his eleventh.

He most recently played at ESSM Le Portel averaging 4.5 points, 5.1 rebounds, and 2.0 assists per game in the 2020-21 edition of the French League.

Morin, 28, suffered his latest injury late in the 2020-21 season. His toe issue has prevented him from joining preseason practices so far.

Strasbourg has been preparing for the Basketball Champions League and France’s Betclic Elite Pro A. Lassi Tuovi’s side is part of BCL Regular Season Group F together with Filou Oostende, Tofas, and one more team surviving the qualifying rounds.

New additions to the squad are John Roberson and Gaylor Curier. Also, Jaromir Bohacik recently inked a contract extension.
