Just recently, during the summer, AEK Athens was leading FIBA’s list of sanctioned clubs with 14 bans in place but the organization has dealt with all of them and will start the season free of any such burden.
The official list still has five cases logged but AEK either paid or reached a settlement with everyone involved.
Former Basketball Champions League winners have had quite a busy summer despite the bans and have reached a number of deals that will reform the roster heavily.
Giorgos Borgis, Nikos Pappas, Quino Colom, Stevan Jelovac, Eric Griffin, Braian Angola, and Manny Harris are some of the names that have joined AEK for the upcoming 2021-22 campaign.
