Happy Casa Brindisi president Fernando Marino decided to provide some sort of compensation to the fans that witnessed the 61 – 88 blowout loss to Hapoel Holon for Round 1 of the Basketball Champions League regular season from the stands of  PalaPentassuglia.

Marino announced via Brindisi’s website that everyone who was present in the match against Holon will be able to also attend the next Basketball Champions League home game of the team without paying a ticket. He also apologized for Brindisi’s performance “on behalf of everyone.”

“It is essential to stay close to the team, to get up immediately after this heavy defeat,” Marino said.

Holon even held a 36-point lead in the game near the end before Brindisi just managed to cut its deficit below 30. Steven Gray (20 points), Joe Ragland (18 points, seven assists) and Chris Johnson (18 points, six rebounds) did most of the damage for Holon.

Only Jeremy Chappell (10 points) scored in double figures for Brindisi.
