A solid display on the road for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg secures the 86-64 victory over Prometey at Kyiv’s Sports Palace.

Los Angeles native Justin Simon, former St. John’s shooting guard, was the key posting an 18-point, 12-rebound double-double in the Basketball Champions League Regular Season Round 2 contest. Both the 18 points and 12 rebounds were game-highs, the 24 PIR as well. He was 6/14 from the field, including 2/3 from beyond the arc.

John Patrick’s side, coming off a home win versus ALBA Berlin on Sunday, never looked back following a 12-0 sprint in the second quarter. The visitors were up by eight points at the break and kept on distancing themselves in the second half to claim the W in Ukraine.

American point guard, two years out of Northern Colorado, Jonah Radebaugh contributed 14 points and nine rebounds. Jordan Hulls paired 13 points and seven assists. Veteran forward Yorman Polas Bartolo also had 13 points.

Another St. John’s product, D. J. Kennedy shared the game-high 18 points but was bested by his former team. D. J. Stephens finished with 11 points for the Ukrainian team, currently 4-0 in the domestic Basketball SuperLeague.

The German side after improving to 2-1 in the easyCredit BBL went to 2-0 in BCL Regular Season Group A. The Ukrainian champions led by Ronen Ginzburg were forced to 0-2 with a second loss at home.

Group A resumes on October 27 as Ludwigsburg hosts Lenovo Tenerife and Prometey visits Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari.
