It wasn’t pretty, but Pinar Karsiyaka managed to get the 80-77 win over Stal Ostrow. The Turks have a perfect 2-0 record in Group B of the BCL, Bonzi Colson with 18 points and Semih Erden with 17 were both instrumental in the comeback win, but in the end, it was Michael Roll who sealed the deal.

Stal Ostrow trailed by one (78-77) and tried to get a steal with a full-court press. With the game on the line Roll passed the ball to Akil Mitchell for the dunk, but Mitchell lost control in mid-air. Roll got it back and got fouled with 4.5 seconds left. He made two free throws (80-77) for a total of 14 points

James Palmer with 21 points and Kobi Simmons with 20 led the charge for the guests who got a 10-lead at the end of the first quarter (24-14), pushed it to 14 at the end of the first half (51-37). However, they couldn’t shock the hosts with Simmons getting called for a harsh offensive foul in the last possession, while he was trying to get an open three-pointer.

Stal Ostrow dropped to 0-2 after losing two close games on the road in Spain and Turkey.
