After skipping a week, Hapoel U-NET Holon got back to the Basketball Champions League with a 78-68 win over U-BT Cluj Napoca. Holon improved to 2-0 in group G while Cluj momentarily tops the standings with 2-1.

It was a close game through the first three quarters but Hapoel’s 12-0 run at the end of the third and start of the fourth quarter decided the outcome, as the Romanian side just couldn’t recover.

Michale Kyser scored 15 and Niv Misgav 14 points for the winning team while Chris Johnson added 13. Kyser also grabbed nine rebounds.

For Cluj, Elijah Stweart scored game-high 18 points followed by Dustin Hogue with 17. Andrija Stepanovic scored ten, as did Patrick Richard.

Although Cluj grabbed 17 (compared to seven) offensive rebounds, they couldn’t cash in the extra chances while Holon’s bench stepped up and outscored Cluj’s 32-20, making the main scoring difference in the game.
