In a rescheduled duel, Darussafaka got the better of a feisty Hapoel Holon squad with an 86-79 home win. Both teams now hold a 2-2 record in the Basketball Champions League Group G.
Isaiah Pineiro was the man of the match as he dropped 25 points on 9-10 shooting including 3-4 from deep. Gabriel Olaseni followed up with 20 points while Troy Caupain scored 12.
Pineiro also grabbed eight boards. For the losing team, Chris Johnson scored 25 and Michale Kyser 13 points.
Hapoel Holon had an upper hand early on (17-8) but Darussafaka held on and completely took over after the break. They were up in double-digits already near the end of the third quarter and led by as much as 19 in the fourth (79-60).
The Israeli squad, however, despite the loss, managed to heavily soften up the blow with a late surge that decreased the margin to seven points and might be crucial in a potential tie-break situation.
