BAXI Manresa stayed the only undefeated team in the Basketball Champions League this season, improving to a 5-0 record in Group B with an 88-75 road win against Arged BM Slam Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski. The Polish team stands at 1-4.
Chima Moneke led the way with 16 points while Ismael Bako put on ten points and 12 rebounds in the 20 minutes he logged on the court. Rafa Martinez followed with 11 points.
For Stal Ostrow Wielkopolski, Michael Young scored 17 in addition to Trey Drechsel and James Florence’s 14 points.
Manresa was in control from the very start, going up in double-digits by halftime (41-31) and holding the distance until the end. Stal Ostrow put up a fight and reach a five-point margin (71-66) in the final period but the Spaniards responded with a 6-0 run and cruised to victory.
