AEK’s current sanction count sits at 13 due to overdue payables

Tyrese Rice had a short stint in AEK at the beginning of the 2020-21 season, when he reinforced the Greek side for the Basketball Champions League Final Eight in Athens and led it to the final against Hereda San Pablo Burgos.

The contract between the two sides lasted for about two months and wasn’t renewed for the remainder of that season. Rice has since remained off action and now he brings to light AEK’s overdue payables towards him.

“I wonder if AEK will pay me or not. It’s been over a year and I was only there two months”, Rice wrote on his Twitter account.

He even noted that he has won the court case for the aforementioned payables. “I won the court case and everything. They are not going to have a choice at some point. I won a case before and got my money three years later. Double though. So they can wait if they want, I got patience”.

AEK currently has 13 sanctions in place by the Basketball Arbitral Tribunal, as of October 13, 2021 and is banned from registering new players.
