After parting ways with Bitci Baskonia, Landry Nnoko inked a deal for the remainder of the 2021-22 season with Hereda San Pablo Burgos. His new team confirmed the earlier report regarding his move on Wednesday.

Nnoko, 27, is coming off three campaigns in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague. He registered 7.4 points and 5.3 rebounds per contest over 55 appearances between Baskonia, Crvena Zvezda mts, and Alba Berlin. Moving on midway through the ongoing season, he is set to return to the Basketball Champions League following his run in the 2018 Qualifiers as a member of Sakarya. The Turkish side was eliminated by Fribourg Olympic and extended its European campaign in FIBA Europe Cup.

The Cameroonian center coming in reinforces the team led by Salva Maldonado in the midst of the best-of-three Play-In series opposite Darussafaka. The back-to-back BCL champions gained the lead, 1-0, prevailing in a tight affair held at Coliseum Burgos Tuesday evening.

Besides Burgos winning a couple of Champions League titles and capturing the FIBA Intercontinental Cup, Nnoko himself gathered multiple championships the last couple of seasons. He was crowned league champion in both Germany and Serbia, and also led Crvena Zvezda to the ABA League title as the Finals MVP.

Apart from getting a second opportunity to shine in the BCL, the former Clemson standout will extend his debut campaign in Spain’s ACB. His new side is ranked next-to-last after three losses in a row put the latest hits on the poor 4-11 record.

His pro career also includes stints at Pesaro in 2016-17 and the Grand Rapids Drive in 2017-18.
