Missing John Roberson too much to handle for SIG Strasbourg

Dominating Lenovo Tenerife strolled past SIG Strasbourg, 85-67, Wednesday evening.

Georgian Giorgi Shermadini made out a game-high 17 points. Finnish Sasu Salin added 16 points powered by 6/10 field goals in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 Gameday 2 fixture. Canadian Kyle Wiltjer finished with ten points, while Marcelo Huertas and Dejan Todorovic chipped in eight more points apiece.

The team coached by Txus Vidorreta, carrying a 9-8 record in Spain’s ACB, led from start to finish opposite the SIGmen actually retaining safe distance most of the way at Rhenus Sport. The win in France earned control of Round of 16 Group L going up to 2-0 as Strasbourg dropped to 1-1.

In-form John Roberson was not available for the team guided by Lassi Tuovi. The former Texas Tech standout was a late scratch due to left knee discomfort.
