Unicaja was trailing most of the game and despite making a fourth-quarter comeback, Prometey managed to recover just on time to grab a 70-69 home win in the Basketball Champions League.

This was the Ukrainian sensation’s opening Round of 16 game in Group K while Unicaja now holds a 1-2 record, suffering a defeat in the first BCL game following the coaching change as well as a couple of roster additions.

Chris Dowe was the hero of the night and it wasn’t his first time this season. He already saved Prometey from getting eliminated in BCL and now made a few clutch plays including a four-point game-winner with nine seconds remaining. Carlos Suarez missed his chance to win it for Unicaja on the other side.

Dowe finished with 19 points with D’Angelo Harrison scoring 19 as well. D.J. Kennedy helped out with ten points.

For Unicaja, Dario Brizuela was the leading scorer of the game with 24 points but was rather lonely in Unicaja’s offensive efforts. Matt Mooney scored 13 in his BCL debut.
