MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg was the calmer team in the close overtime duel against Galatasaray Nef and thanks to it got a 76-71 home win in the Basketball Champions League.

Jonah Radebaugh scored 17 for the winning team while Justin Simon had 14 and Yorman Polas Bartolo 13 points. Bartolo grabbed nine and Radenbaugh eight rebounds.

For Galatasaray, Melo Trimble banked in 21 points while Dee Bost had 14 points, seven rebounds.

The score was tied at 58 with under four minutes remaining when Ludwigsburg went on a small 6-1 run, with three different players scoring – Ethan Happ, Yorman Polas Bartolo, Jonah Radebaugh.

However, Galata still managed to recover and tie the game once again after Melo Trimble’s three-pointer with 25 seconds left, forcing extra five minutes.

The overtime was close but it has to be noted that Ludwigsburg played it safer and was rewarded for it. The Germans attacked the basket and put pressure on the paint while Galata tried their luck from the perimeter and just couldn’t make the ball go in.

After this win, Ludwigsburg improved to 3-1 in Group I and is currently leading the batch while Galatasaray is in a must-win situation now after going 1-3. JDA Dijon and Hapoel U-NET Holon both hold 2-2 records.
