Tyler Ennis dropped five out of his 16 points in the last minute of overtime and hit the winning jumper that pushed Tofas Bursa past Nutribullet Treviso 82 – 80. Thanks to this win and Manresa’s loss to Darussafaka, Tofas now stands alone at the top spot of Group J of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16.

With Treviso up 77 – 78 and 57 seconds to play in the extra period, Ennis made the go-ahead layup and then drained a free throw for the 80 – 78. Giordano Bortolani tied the score from the free-throw line to notch a game-high 21 points but then Ennis buried the jump shot to put Tofas ahead once more with 37 seconds remaining.

Treviso had opportunities to tie the score or take the lead but couldn’t connect to the basket. The already-eliminated Italian side remains winless after five rounds.

Despite being the obvious underdog, Treviso put up a huge fight in Bursa and led 69 – 72 with 1:04 to play in regulation after a very tight game for 39 minutes. Ennis proceeded to score the last three points of the fourth quarter to make things even at 72 and then Bursa’s Elgin Cook sent the game to the extra period with a huge defense on Tomas Dimsa.

Tomislav Zubcic had 17 points plus five rebounds for Tofas while Jeremy Simmons posted 12 points and 11 rebounds. Apart from Bortolani’s 21, Michal Sokolowski provided Treviso with a diverse output of 18 points, six rebounds and five assists.
