Levi Randolph was sizzling to hand Oostende their first win in the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 and keep them alive in the quarterfinals race

With Filou Oostende’s back to the wall, shooting guard Levi Randolph took control to score a career-high 35 points and lead his team to an 86-68 victory over Unicaja at home in Gameday 5 of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16.

Randolph went out with 12 of 17  from the field, along with 4 rebounds and 2 assists for a game-high PIR of 33.

Oostende registered its first victory in Group K after three consecutive defeats and is back on the hunt for the quarterfinals, while next week’s game against U-BT Cluj Napoca will determine the final standings.

Demetrius Conger added up to Oostende’s efforts with 12 points and Mikael Jantunen had 13 points and 7 rebounds.

Francis Alonso scored a team-high with 24 points for Unicaja and Dario Brizuela followed with 15 points, while Alberto Diaz had a game-high 11 assists and 2 points. Unicaja now drops to 2-3, though punched a ticket to the BCL quarterfinals.

In the meantime, point guard Mario Saint-Supéry made history for the Spanish club, as the youngest player to debut in the first team at 15 years, 11 months, and 2 days of age.
