Point guard Marcus Keene moving to France with Strasbourg

Strasbourg has signed a one-year deal with point guard Marcus Keene, according to Eurohoops’ Stavros Barbaroussis.

Keene, 27, spent the 2021-22 season between Cedevita Olimpija Ljubljana in the ABA League and the 7DAYS EuroCup and Openjobmetis Varese in the Italian LegaBasket.

He averaged 9 points, 1.8 assists and 1.2 rebounds in 15 minutes across 4 EuroCup contests with Cedevita, while he posted 13.1 points, 4.0 assists and 1.6 rebounds in 7 ABA games.

Upon his move to the Italian championship, Keene’s numbers elevated to 18.7 points, 4.5 assists and 2.5 rebounds in 19 games.

Keene won the VTB United League Top Scorer Award in 2021 as part of Kalev/Cramo and landed the Italian League Top Scorer honor this year.

He began his career in 2017-18 with the Cagliari Dinamo Academy and has since played for Mono Vampire and Formosa Dreamers in the ASEAN Basketball League, Memphis Hustle in the NBA G-League, KCC Egis in Korea and Yulon Luxgen Dinos in Taiwan before landing in Europe.
