After officially adding Miro Bilan, Peristeri Vitabiotics is set to complete another transfer and put Leonidas Kaselakis on the roster of head coach Vassilis Spanoulis, as confirmed by Eurohoops sources.

Kaselakis, 32, has agreed to sign a two-year contract without any additional clauses.

Coming off a couple of seasons as a member of Greek giant Panathinaikos OPAP, he will be shifting from the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague to the Basketball Champions League. Previous experience in the BCL stems from his stint with Promitheas and 12 appearances during the 2018-19 season. Adding to games played in European club continental competitions are the 26 appearances in the 7DAYS EuroCup split between the team based in Patras and PAOK. Other former teams include AEK, Nea Kifisia and Ilisiakos along with a stint abroad with Astana.

Playing most recently for Panathinaikos, Kaselakis went for 3.0 points, 1.8 rebounds, 0.7 assists, and 0.2 steals per game over 59 appearances in the 2020-21 and 2021-22 editions of the EuroLeague. Packing 4.9 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 1.2 assists per Stoiximan Basket League contest painted the picture of the last two seasons at the domestic level.

With legendary player Spanoulis diving into a coaching career and taking over, Peristeri was placed directly into the Regular Season of the 2022-23 edition of the Champions League.

Last season, the Greek club participated in the FIBA Europe Cup and was eliminated after finishing third in Group G of the Regular Season. Domestically, it sneaked into the Playoffs of the Greek league and was swept by top-seeded Olympiacos in the Quarterfinals.
