Lenovo Tenerife officially announced the addition of US forward Elgin Cook (29, 1.96).

Born in Milwaukee (Wisconsin), Elgin Rashad Cook comes from averaging 11.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, and 2.4 assists for a rating of 15 per game in the Turkish BSL league.

Cook began his college stage at Northwestern Florida State of the NJCAA (2012-13) and then joined the University of Oregon Ducks (2013-16).

After not being drafted by the NBA in 2016, Elgin played the Summer League with the Sacramento Kings and the following year with the Santa Cruz Warriors of the D-League (2016-17), before beginning his journey in Europe.

Cook has played so far for six seasons in Europe, with participation in both the Eurocup and the Basketball Champions League, the last of which was with Tofas Bursa, a team with which he faced Lenovo Tenerife in last season’s quarterfinals.

He also played for MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg (2017-18), then for Cedevita Olimpija (2018-19), Avtodor Saratov (19-20), UNICS Kazan (19-20), Fethiye Belediye (20-21) and Tofas.
