Rytas boosts squad with Marcus Foster

Well-traveled Marcus Foster highlights the latest moves in the Basketball Champions League

After Hapoel U-NET Holon and Turk Telekom, Marcus Foster is back in the Basketball Champions League.

Pushing his career into Lithuania and returning to the BCL for a third campaign, Marcus Foster signed a contract to join Rytas. The Betsafe LKL champions already brought in Martynas Echodas, Gytis Masiulis, Benedek Varadi, and Todd Withers, and re-upped Evaldas Kairys.

Moving his talents to the Czech Republic, Kamau Stokes became the first new player for ERA Nymburk following the appointment of Roberts Stelmahers as the new head coach. Petr Benda and Jakub Tuma previously extended their contracts with the NBL champions.

Alberts Putans emerged on the roster of VEF Riga. The champions of Latvia already welcomed Rihards Berzins, Roberts Berzins, Gerry Blakes, and Nysier Brooks, and retained Vitaliy Zotov to build up the 2022-23 squad during the offseason.

Hapoel Holon penned guard Shamar Amir to a two-year contract. Previous arrivals were Kenny Kadji, C.J. Harris, and Marvin Jones, while Frederic Bourdillon, Hayden Dalton, Niv Misgav, and Joe Ragland all re-signed with the Winner League champions.

Youngster Kosta Kondic committed to a new three-year contract with Igokea m:tel. Stefan Djordjevic, James Robinson, Deshawn Stephens, and Nikola Tanaskovic all already re-signed with the Bosnia champions. Reinforcements are Haris Delalic, Kendrick Ray, and Dusan Tanaskovic.

Shifting to teams preparing for the Qualifiers, Scott Bamforth boosted the squad of Rio Breogan. Victor Arteaga, Sergi Garcia, Ethan Happ, Justus Hollatz, Stefan Momirov, Toni Nakic, and Nemanja Nenadic were already in alongside returning Marko Lukovic.

Heroes Den Bosch powered up by inking Australian Emmett Naar to a one-year contract. Jito Kok, Chris-Ebou Ndow, and Donte Thomas were already in. Re-signed players are Thomas van der Mars and Austin Price.

Marc Loving re-signed with the Leicester Riders for the next season. Also returning for the BBL champions are Jubril Adekoya, Zach Jackson, and captain Darien Nelson-Henry. Incoming Blake Bowman penned a multi-year contract.

CSO Voluntari picked up Tekele Cotton from MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg. More newcomers in Dragos Axinte, Darko Planinic, and Lucas Tohatan. Running back with the Romanian club are Toddrick Gotcher and Eric Thompson.

Joining the Qualifiers bid of Budivelnyk are Vyacheslav Bobrov and Pavlo Krutous. Previously confirmed were Bogdan Bliznyuk and Archie Goodwin along with head coach Valery Plekhanov.
