Nymburk signs Eric Lockett, Oostende adds Tre’Shawn Thurman

ERA Nymburk and Filou Oostende power up for the next season of the Basketball Champions League

Highlighting the latest Basketball Champions League moves, Eric Lockett was picked up by ERA Nymburk and Tre’Shawn Thurman joined Filou Oostende.

The fourth summer signing for the champion of the Czech Republic’s NBL emerged in the form of the former player of Aris and Bristol Flyers. Lockett dived in after Rapolas Ivanauskas, Kamau Stokes, and Nate Watson. Besides the additions, Petr Benda and Jakub Tuma both extended their contracts.

Thurman, 26, moved his talents overseas after averaging 7.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.0 assists per G League game for the Stockton Kings last season. Debuting in BCL and in Europe overall, he joins forces with fellow former G League players Vrenz Bleijenbergh and Breein Tyree.

Following the additions of Can Korkmaz, Canberk Kus, Ercan Osmani, Hakan Sayili, Markel Starks, and Akwasi Yeboah, Darussafaka locked up 18-year-old point guard Eray Buyukcangaz. Also during the offseason, Doruk Dora, Gabriel Olaseni, and Wayne McCullough opted to come back for the team located in Istanbul.

Similar to youngsters Konstantinos Bilalis and Dimitris Hatzis, Peristeri inked 18-year-old Sotiris Stavrakopoulos to a three-year contract. The Greek team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis added experience in Miro Bilan, Brandon Brown, Devin Davis, Marcus Denmon, Giorgos Giouzelis, Shakur Juiston, Leonidas Kaselakis, Stelios Poulianitis, and Aleksa Radanov.

Martin Krampelj and Mirko Gloria inked a training camp deal with UnaHotels Reggio Emilia holding an option for the remainder of the 2022-23 season. The Italian club previously added Sacar Anim, Nate Reuvers, Gabe Stefanini, and Michele Vitali, and also re-signed Andrea Cinciarini and Mikael Hopkins.

Coming out of Davidson, Austrian Luka Brajkovic strengthened the Qualifiers bid of Rio Breogan. The Lugo outfit had already secured the services of Victor Arteaga, Scott Bamforth, Sergi Garcia, Ethan Happ, Justus Hollatz, Stefan Momirov, Toni Nakic, and Nemanja Nenadic, and re-signed Marko Lukovic.

Lithuanian point guard Arnas Velicka became the latest addition to the squad of fellow Qualifiers outfit Niners Chemnitz. More newcomers stretch to Kilian Binapfl, Marko Filipovity, Shonn Miller, Aher Uguak, and Kevin Yebo.
