By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

The list of the players delivering the biggest impact was narrowed to five.

Yorman Polas Bartolo, Gabriel Olaseni, Bryant Crawford, Nikola Tanaskovic, and Maurice Kemp stood out in the third week of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season, as announced Saturday.

Fan votes determine the top player of the week.

UPDATE: Maurice Kemp was named player of the week, as announced Sunday.

Per the press release: “Sixteen teams were in action during the third week of the Basketball Champions League Season Seven. We set up a poll with five most impactful players and asked the fans who was the player of the week.

We have narrowed the list down to five names, using the Viziball Advanced Stats system. These five guys were the most impactful in their teams’ wins this week. Peristeri bwin’s Miro Bilan got the most votes in the first week, Falco Vulcano Szombathely’s Zoltan Perl was the fan favorite in the second week.

Yorman Polas (MHP RIESEN)

The big Cuban forward is indestructible. Already a 37-year-old, but still capable of putting up big numbers and completely changing the flow of the game, all by himself. MHP RIESEN’s leader had 14 points on 6-of-7 shooting from the field, with 6 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals to lead the squad from Ludwigsburg to a big road win over Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem.

Gabriel Olaseni (Darussafaka)

Back in 2017, Great Britain played the FIBA EuroBasket group stage in Istanbul, and Gabriel Olaseni was so good, he ended up leading the efficiency stats in the whole event. Olaseni obviously likes the air in Istanbul, he is at home with Darussafaka, and against Bakken Bears he almost got a triple-double, putting up 20 points, 12 boards and 7 dimes.

Bryant Crawford (Igokea m:tel)

Igokea defeated ERA Nymburk and had a couple of players with big games. One of them is the 25-year-old Bryant Crawford, who put up a BCL season-high with 33 points on the night, hitting 13-of-18 shots from the field, dishing out 8 assists and stealing the ball three times.

Nikola Tanaskovic (Igokea m:tel)

The other impressive player for Igokea was another 25-year-old, Nikola Tanaskovic. The athletic forward with endless wingspan did a bit of everything, finishing with a massive 16-point, 15-rebound double-double, becoming the 15th player to get at least 15 and 15 in the Basketball Champions League.

Maurice Kemp (Bnei Ofek Dist Herzliya)

The Israeli newcomers got their first win in the BCL, coming from a double digit deficit and storming to a five-point win over Rytas Vilnius. Maurice Kemp finally got that W he wanted after picking up six L’s in his first six BCL games with Fuenlabrada and Herzliya. He put up 23 points on 8-of-10 shooting, and the Israeli State Cup winners were +21 with him on the floor.”

UPDATE: “After 24 hours of voting, Maurice Kemp won the poll with 50 percent of votes. Yorman Polas Bartolo came in second with 28 percent, Gabriel Olaseni was third with 11 percent, Nikola Tanaskovic had 7 and Bryant Crawford got 4 percent of votes.”
