With an impressive offensive performance throughout the whole game, Rytas Vilnius got the 89-64 imposing win against Peristeri, the first one in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League

Former Panathinaikos player Marcus Foster, who scored fewer than 10 points in his two previous games against Greek opposition (6 & 9 pts vs AEK in 2020-21), played a big role in his team’s victory, ending the game with 24 points, 10 rebounds, and 6 assists.

His backcourt mate Elvar Fridriksson, who also joined the team during the summer, had 18 points, 6 rebounds, and 5 assists.

Also, despite only scoring 5 points in what was a very tough game for him, Miro Bilan became the seventh top scorer in BCL history by surpassing Vitor Benite.

Sylvain Francisco was the best player on Vassilis Spanoulis’ team, ending the game with 17 points.

After losing the first two games in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League, the Lithuanian team finally got the first win in the competition.

Waiting for Wednesday’s game between Bnei Herzliya and Lenovo Tenerife, they remain at the bottom of Group H.
