Telekom Baskets Bonn is unstoppable in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League. The German team found another victory on the road, beating Pinar Karsiyaka 89-80.

The best player on the winning side, which currently is on a four-game winning streak in the European competition, was once again TJ Shorts II. He wrote history once again, scoring at least 25 points for five consecutive BCL games. Against the Turkish team, he had 26 points with 4 rebounds and 9 assists.

Collin Malcolm added 20 points and 8 rebounds off the bench, while Sebastian Herrera and Jeremy Morgan combined for 25 points.

The home side had four players in double-digits, but it wasn’t enough. Angel Delgado and Mindaugas Kuzminskas had 15 points a piece from the starting five.

Off the bench, Errick McCollum and Berkan Durmaz scored both 14 points, combining for 12 rebounds as well.

In the first-ever Basketball Champions League Bonn win in Turkey, Tuomas Iisalo’s team shot way better both inside the area (80.95% vs 57.14%) and from behind the arc (40% vs 22.22%).

The German team (4-1) is virtually qualified for the Round of 16, but it needs AEK to defeat Reggio Emilia to officially advance to the next stage. Pinar has now a negative record (2-3) in the BCL.
