Since Luca Banchi sat on SIG Strasbourg’s bench, the French team hasn’t lost a single game between BCL and LNB. The same thing happened against UCAM Murcia, beaten 82-70.

Marcus Keene and DeAndre Lansdowne led the way for the home side. The former Varese guard had 25 points and 4 assists with 5/11 from deep, while the American forward scored 23 points with 5 rebounds.

Matt Mitchell, who scored 20+ points in each of his previous three games in the BCL after reaching that tally in only one of his previous 16 appearances in the competition, had a “normal” night with 10 points.

UCAM Murcia, which has now won 21 of its last 26 games in the BCL, with the five losses in that span happening while playing on the road, had Travis Trice as its best player of the night, with 17 points and 7 assists.

Strasbourg, which found a solid fourth quarter (24-16), dominated the game in the paint, scoring 32 points, 16 more than UCAM Murcia.

With this win, SIG Strasbourg qualifies for the Round of 16 with a 4-1 record. Despite the loss, the Spanish team (3-2) remains second in Group B, with Tofas Bursa (2-3) and Falco Szombathely (1-4, already eliminated) behind.
