Bakken Bears beat Darussafaka 68-66 in Week 9 of the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League but ends its season in the competition.

Tony Carr had a great night, going close to a triple-double with 16 points, 8 rebounds, and 9 assists. Darko Juric followed with 17 points and the game-winning shot.

Elijah Childs, who is the only player to have grabbed 5+ rebounds in each of Bakken Bears’ games in the BCL this season, despite starting every time on the bench, had a double-double of 10 points and 10 rebounds.

Dogus Özdemiroglu was the best player on the losing side, recording a double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds, while Markel Starks had 12 points, 6 rebounds, and 7 assists.

Wayne McCullough and Gabriel Olaseni combined for 25 points.

With this victory, Bakken Bears have won three of their last four home games in the league, while Darussafaka is yet to win consecutive away games in the competition.

Bakken Bears (1-4) needed to win with more than a 15 points deficit to keep their hopes alive in Group E of the BCL. Darussafaka (2-3) will now need to beat Hapoel Jerusalem to not jump into Play-Ins.
