Facing elimination, Bahcesehir Koleji presented a huge response to Filou Oostende. Securing the win, 77-64, in COREtec Dome extended the best-of-three series to Game 3, to be held in Istanbul next Tuesday.

Well-traveled shooting guard, well-experienced in must-win situations over a lengthy career in Europe, Jamar Smith netted 7/10 field goals for a total of 22 points in Game 2 Tuesday evening. French center Jerry Boutsiele added 17 points. The domestic portion of the roster was highlighted by Muhammed Baygul and Kartal Ozmizrak delivering 13 and 12 points, respectively. Building up an early lead was the case in Game 1 as well but avoiding another meltdown eventually punched in the win for the team coached by Erhan Ernak.

The reigning Belgium champions failed to convert the clinching opportunity, set up by the comeback win over the Red Dragons in Turkey last week. Instead trailed for the entire game with the deficit peaking at 18 points. They will be gunning for yet another triumph on the road at the conclusion of the Basketball Champions League Play-Ins. The Game 3 winner will be placed in Group J of the Round of 16 alongside directly qualified Telekom Baskets Bonn and Baxi Manresa.

Explosive forward Tre’Shawn Thurman drew up 24 points behind 8/9 field goals, including four makes from beyond the arc in the losing effort for the lasting Champions League originals against the winners of the 2021-22 edition of FIBA Europe Cup. Grabbing eight rebounds contributed to the game-high efficiency rating of 31. Club legend Dusan Djordjevic remains stuck on Dario Gjergja’s injury list.
