Troubles for UCAM Murcia before their rematch of the Basketball Champions League play-in series with Pinar Karsiyaka in Izmir. The Spanish team has a chance to qualify for the Top 16, but they won’t have it easy.
The Turkish team has been in charge of putting a series of inconveniences at UCAM, as Marca reports. This Tuesday, when they arrived at the training court, they found a women’s volleyball team exercising, and they had to go to an adjoining one, where one of the baskets was lowered, the balls were deflated, and they only gave them a manual inflator.
That wasn’t all, as Turkish fans welcomed them at dawn with a serenade at the hotel’s gates.

Murcia already had some issues visiting Pinar Karsiyaka in 2018, in a match that, due to severe incidents, lasted more than three hours, with the possession and match clocks stopped working. The second part was played with the speaker saying the remaining time over the PA system.
Also, a fan pushed Sadiel Rojas, and objects began to fall on the track, including a military boot that almost hit the Dominican player. However, he was sent off with Clevin Hannah and Ovie Soko, who had left the bench.
Despite everything, Murcia ended up winning 65-79. FIBA sanctioned the Turkish team with two games behind closed doors and a fine of 20,000 euros.
