T.J. Cline is back in Israel. The 28-year-old forward officially signed a contract with Hapoel Jerusalem for the rest of the 2022-23 season, marking his return to the Basketball Champions League.

“I am very excited to join a historic and prestigious club like Hapoel Jerusalem,” Cline said, per the club. “I’m already looking forward to playing for Hapoel’s great fan base, and learning from a great coach [Aleksandar Dzikic]. We are currently competing for three titles and I want to help the team reach its full potential. Yalla Hapoel!”

Cline previously played in Israel for Maccabi Tel Aviv in 2021 and Hapoel Holon from 2017 to 2020. He had 10.1 points, 5.4 rebounds and 3.1 assists in the Basketball Champions League of 2019-20 before the season was suspended due to COVID-19.

Since then, Cline had stints for Germani Brescia and Maccabi. Last season, he also made 20 appearances in the G League with the Capital City Go-Go (the Washington Wizards‘ affiliate), averaging 10.4 points and 3.7 rebounds before joining Morabanc Andorra in Spain to make his ACB debut.

Cline holds Israeli citizenship and is a member of the Israeli national team.
