After joining Hapoel Jerusalem in the summer of 2022, Aleksandar Dzikic has done an excellent job with the red-and-black team and has now earned a contract extension.

The 51-year-old Serbian head coach will also coach the Israeli side in the 2023-24 season, with an option for the following one. Since his arrival in Israel, he pushed Hapoel Jerusalem to the Israeli Cup win against Maccabi Tel Aviv.

The Israeli team is currently tied with SIG Strasbourg and JDA Bourgogne Dijon at a 2-1 record in Group I of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16, while it’s 4th behind Maccabi Tel Aviv, Hapoel Tel Aviv, and Hapoel Holon in the Winner League.

Aleksandar Dzikic was a Minnesota Timberwolves assistant coach from 2005 to 2007 and then went on to coach important European sides like Rytas Vilnius, Partizan Belgrade, and Buducnost.
