Crazy game with momentum shifting constantly, but Unicaja eventually takes down Galatasaray Nef

By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Tyson Carter broke the tie with 22.2 seconds remaining in the back-and-forth affair and Unicaja went on to defeat Galatasaray Nef, 81-76, Tuesday.

Held to 2/8 three-pointers overall, the former Mississippi State standout made a rare connection really count for the Malaga outfit. He ended up with eight points in the Gameday 3 contest of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16.

Leading all scorers, Darío Brizuela poured 20 points. Kendrick Perry had 19 points with eight in the last ten minutes. Despite dealing with an illness, David Kravish paired nine points with 11 rebounds.

The team coached by Ibon Navarro went up to 3-0 in BCL’s Group K with a fourth win in a row across all competitions, including capturing the Copa del Rey. Dylan Osetkowski (illness) did not play, while Nihad Djedovic remained on the injury list.

Angelo Caloiaro packing 19 points behind a perfect 7/7 from the field was not enough for the team coached by Andreas Pistiolis in Palacio de Deportes Jose Maria Martin Carpena. Down to 1-2 in the four-team group, the Lions suffered a fifth straight loss and have been limited to one win in ten games since late December.

From Malaga to Istanbul, Galata will have the opportunity to jump right back in the mix for a spot in the Quarterfinals of the Champions League as the two teams will face each other once more to complete the Gameday 4 schedule Thursday.
