The German team is on a nine-game winning streak in the Basketball Champions League

After Rytas Vilnius produced a good comeback run in the second quarter (22-15), everybody was expecting a balanced outcome in the second half, but Telekom Baskets Bonn scored 58 points after halftime and won 99-72.

TJ Shorts II, favorite in the race for the MVP of the season, ended the game with 22 points, 4 rebounds, and 7 assists in just 26:14 minutes of playing time.

Javontae Hawkins, who recently came back from Limoges CSP to the German team, scored 20 points and dished 5 assists in his first game since the return. Finn Delany and Collin Malcolm combined for 30 points, while Leon Kratzer had 4 points and 12 rebounds.

On the losing side, Martynas Echodas ended the game with 14 points, while Marcus Foster and Elvar Fridriksson followed respectively with 13 and 12 points.

The home side completely dominated the encounter, scoring 40 points from the bench and 34 points in the paint. Also, they scored 18 more points in second-chance opportunities than Rytas Vilnius. Playing like this, Tuomas Iisalo’s team is now on a nine-game winning streak.

Telekom Baskets Bonn remains undefeated in Group J of the Basketball Champions League Round of 16 with four wins in a row, while Rytas Vilnius gets farther from BAXI Manresa at a 1-3 record. However, they’re still ahead of winning less Bahcesehir.
