The red-and-white Lithuanian team will battle against BAXI Manresa for a BCL Quarter-Finals spot

Following Telekom Baskets Bonn’s 85-75 win against BAXI Manresa, Rytas Vilnius needed an away victory against Bahcesehir to keep hoping for a spot in the BCL Quarter-Finals.

Thanks to an important offensive coral performance by Giedrius Žibėnas’ team, the red-and-white side managed to get the upper hand on the road, winning 92-69.

Six players in double-digits for the Lithuanians, with Gytis Masiulis and Gytis Radzevicius providing off the bench with 26 points combined. The starting Foster-Fridriksson backcourt combined for 13 assists.

On the home side, already eliminated, Jerry Boutsiele had his usual good performance with 14 points and 6 rebounds. He was followed by Muhammed Baygül, who had a decent all-around game with 15 points, 7 boards, and 4 dimes, while Jamar Smith added 11 before being ruled out for 5 fouls.

After this important victory, Rytas Vilnius will now need to beat last year’s runner-up in Lithuania in Week 6 to qualify for the Quarter-Finals. Telekom Baskets Bonn will conclude its Round of 16 race with the 1st spot in Group J and, therefore, the home-court advantage in the following stage.
