In the last Round of 16 encounters between the two qualified teams in Group K, Unicaja Malaga got the 75-65 on-the-road victory against AEK to take the home-court advantage in the 2022-23 Basketball Champions League Quarter-Finals and finish on top with a 5-1 record.

Tyson Carter and Dario Brizuela led Ibon Navarro’s team. The former Zenit Saint Petersburg American guard ended with 15 points and 4/4 at the charity stripe, while the Spanish sharpshooter had 13 with 3/4 from the perimeter.

Yankuba Sima had a tough night containing Akil Mitchell, but still produced a performance of 10 points and 6 rebounds. Tyler Kalinoski, who had the best BCL performance with Unicaja in the last game scoring 18 points, ended with 5 against AEK.

February MVP Akil Mitchell had 14 points and 7 rebounds in yet again another dominant game for him in this year’s Basketball Champions League. In the reverse fixture against Unicaja, he had a double-double of 18 points and 13 rebounds.

After leading the yellow-and-black side against Galatasaray NEF with X points, Brynton Lemar scored 12. He was followed by Vlado Jankovic, who ended with 9 points and 5 rebounds.

The 2023 Copa del Rey champs were way better than their opponents scoring points from turnover (20 vs 9), and points from the bench (45 vs 32). They also got more assists (19 vs 16), and blocks (5 vs 1).
