Five players were shortlisted for the Basketball Champions League MVP of March distinction. Those standouts shaped the Team of the Month.

Unicaja’s Dario Brizuela, SIG Strasbourg’s Leo Cavaliere, Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem’s Zach Hankins, BAXI Manresa’s Jerrick Harding, and Telekom Baskets Bonn’s T. J. Shorts II made the cut, as announced. Fans can pick their favorite for March MVP in the voting section hosted on championsleague.basketball.

Naturally, the five players were the leading stars as respective teams advanced from the bottom half of the Round of 16 double-legged round-robin schedule to clinching a berth in the Quarterfinals over March. Resuming their BCL campaigns next week will launch the best-of-three series leading to the season-ending Final Four expected to be held in the home venue of one of the four surviving teams.

Shorts, 25, was named December MVP and has been part of four out of six editions of Team of the Month through the 2022-23 season emerging as the frontrunner for the season MVP nod. Other monthly MVP awards went to AEK’s Akil Mitchell in February, Hapoel Atsmon Holon’s Joe Ragland in January and October, and Rytas’ Marcus Foster in November with Mitchell the only previous winner remaining in the hunt for the championship.

The next MVP of the Month will formally receive the honors in a home game of the Quarterfinals to celebrate with the supporters of his side. Check the schedule for the next stage of the exciting season.
