Unicaja became the first team to confirm a place in the Final Four of the Basketball Champions League. The three remaining contenders will be revealed next week as Game 3 takes over to conclude the Quarterfinals.

The team based in Malaga completed the sweep against ACB rival UCAM Murcia Wednesday evening. Following up on the recent Copa del Rey triumph, the 2023 BCL Final Four looks promising for Ibon Navarro’s side. The champion-crowning tournament will be held 12-14 May in a venue to be announced with Malaga among potential destinations.

AEK topped Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem but forcing Game 3 was overshadowed by violent events on the stands with the visitors viewing a terrorist attack against supporters traveling from Israel to Greece. The final game of the series is scheduled for next Wednesday in Pais Arena.

Locking up once more in Santiago Martin, reigning BCL champion Lenovo Tenerife will face BAXI Manresa next Wednesday. Game 2 not going according to plan for Txus Vidorreta allowed last season’s runner-ups to stay alive in the best-of-three series.

Opening the Game 2 schedule, Telekom Baskets Bonn recovered the homecourt advantage from SIG Strasbourg and hope to make good use in Telekom Dome next Tuesday.

Basketball Champions League Quarterfinals Game 2

SIG Strasbourg – Telekom Baskets Bonn 66-76 (series tied 1-1)
AEK – Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem 94-78 (series tied 1-1)
UCAM Murcia – Unicaja 74-96 (Unicaja wins series 2-0)
BAXI Manresa – Lenovo Tenerife 85-83 (series tied 1-1)
