MALAGA, Spain – The second semifinal of the Basketball Champions League Final Four will put Unicaja Malaga against Telekom Baskets Bonn, which will be dragged especially by TJ Shorts, the absolute dominator of the year.

Talking to Eurohoops following the team’s morning practice, he expressed his excitement. “I’m super excited, super blessed to be here. I’m gonna definitely enjoy this moment, it’s been a great week up until this point. Now we’re getting ready for tonight’s game, and it should be a good one”, he said.

He went on to speak about the possibility of bringing the first-ever trophy to the city of Bonn. “This gives us all the motivation in the world. To be able to bring the first championship to any club is an extra motivation. Tonight we step out there, we give our all for forty minutes. We’ll live with the results, but we will be prepared and we’ll go from there”, TJ Shorts added.

“We know they’ve got a great team. They play with a deep rotation. Every guy who steps on the court is a threat. We know they’ve got a lot of pieces. We’ll have to lock in on everybody. It’s not just gonna be one single guy, it’s gonna take a team effort from us to be able to contain all the great things that they do. We’ll be prepared for tonight and we’ll be ready”, he said about Unicaja Malaga.

Finally, he commented on the fanbase of Bonn, which will bring more or less 500 people to Malaga. “Bonn has been great for me here. They have accepted me with welcomed arms, they treated me basically like another piece of their family. It’s been great since the start of the season when I got here in August. I’m grateful for all the fans who supported us up until this point, all the fans who came here to Spain. It will be great for us to be able to bring a championship back to Bonn”, the point guard stated.
