Returning to the Basketball Champions League for a second campaign, Luke Maye surfaces as the latest newcomer for Tofas

More Basketball Champions League teams placing new pieces include Tofas. Adding to the foreign portion of the roster, the Bursa outfit picked up the 2017 NCAA champion with North Carolina, Luke Maye. The 26-year-old forward helped BAXI Manresa reach the championship game of the 2021-22 season and from there went to Coviran Granada, before jumping back to the BCL. Croatian power forward Zeljko Sakic shaped another recent arrival for Tofas. Omar Prewitt, Caleb Homesley, and J. J. O’Brien were already in.

The latest contract extension announced by Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem secured the services of defensive specialist Or Cornelius for three more years. Speedy Smith, Khadeen Carrington, Levi Randolph, Zach Hankins, and head coach Aleksandar Dzikic renewed their contracts earlier this summer, while the solid list of newcomers extends to Chris Johnson, Yovel Zoosman, and Gabi Chachashvili.

In other recent moves around the Champions League, defending champion Telekom Baskets Bonn inked Croatian youngster Leon Bulic to a one-year contract, and Dinamo Banco di Sardegna Sassari’s Federico Pasquini got French power forward Stephane Gombauld and Italian shooting guard Tommaso Raspino. Also, King Wilki Morskie Szczecin retained 26-year-old Zac Cuthbertson and signed 26-year-old Artur Labinowicz.

Among Qualifiers bids, Monbus Obradoiro got FC Barcelona youth product Pol Figueras, Happy Casa Brindisi added Eric Lombardi, Ironi Hai Motors Ness Ziona re-upped Ben Moshe for the next two seasons, Kauhajoki Karhu brought in Horace Spencer, Telenet Giants Antwerp added Keevan Veinot, Heroes Den Bosch got Austin Luke, and Cholet penned 17-year-old Tidjane Salaun to his first professional contract.
