By Eurohoops Team/ info@eurohoops.net

Leading by a wide margin most of the way, Bertram Derthona Tortona settled with a narrow victory against Igokea m:tel on Wednesday.

Completing a perfect week for the home sides in the Basketball Champions League by holding on for the win, 91-84, marked a 3-0 start in Group H of the Regular Season. A nice touch for the Lions attached to the domestic tally of 3-4 in Italy’s LBA UnipolSai.

Croatian center Leon Radosevic logged a season-high 19 points to go with ten rebounds in the Gameday 3 contest. South Dakota State product Mike Daum added 16 points alongside six rebounds, three steals, and one assist. Chris Dowe had 15 points, including 11 in the second half.

Two blocks away from becoming the first player with 70 rejections in the Champions League, TaShawn Thomas was placed on the injury list with plantar fasciitis. Andrea Zerini (adductor), Riccardo Tavenelli (calf), and Retin Obasohan (thigh) were sidelined as well.

Dealing with a 21-point deficit, the team coached by Vladimir Jovanovic refused to give up but never got the lead in PalaFerraris. Instead fell to 0-3 with a fifth consecutive BCL loss, three days after stunning Partizan Mozzart Bet and jumping to 5-2 in AdmiralBet ABA League.

Nikola Maric went for 16 points in Italy. Nikola Tanaskovic ended up with 15 points and Stefan Moody produced 13 points. Marko Josilo, Nemanja Gordic, and Jackie Carmichael were out for the Bosnia-Herzegovina champions.
