Scoring 53 points in the second half pushed Le Mans to a huge win in Greece.

James Madison product Matt Lewis constantly punishing Peristeri bwin boosted the win, 86-78, in Peristeri Arena.

Lewis, 24, ended up with 22 points in Athens. He connected 7/7 from the field, including 4/4 three-pointers in the Gameday 5 affair. Also sinking all of his four attempts from the free-throw line added to a new individual high for the 2023-24 season across all competitions.

DeVante’ Jones piled up 17 of his 20 points in the fourth quarter as the team guided by Eric Delord took command of the Basketball Champions League Regular Season contest. Tyran de Lattibeaudiere threw in 15 points and Trevor Hudgins tallied 11 points.

On the opposite end, Nemanja Dangubic and Jaylen Hands shared a team-high 15 points. Trevor Thompson followed with 13 points to go with seven rebounds and five blocks. Combining 10 points with 11 assists, Joe Ragland became the first player with ten double-doubles in the Champions League.

From an early 15-point deficit to gaining a double-digit advantage, MSB improved to 3-2 in Group A. Clinching second place and thus a homecourt advantage in the Play-Ins was the reward for completing the two-game sweep opposite the team coached by Vassilis Spanoulis. Combo guard Abdoulaye Ndoye was ruled out with a foot injury.

The hosts were locked up in the third seed after falling to 2-3. Potentially reaching the Round of 16 requires overcoming the homecourt advantage of a second-seeded opponent in a best-of-three series in January.
