After some interesting and possibly unexpected on-the-road victories in Game 1 of the Basketball Champions League Play-Ins, the second week of such stage is here to provide another exciting two days of action, with eight teams that could possibly advance already to the Round of 16.

These are Promitheas, Peristeri, Dinamo Sassari, Ludwigsburg, Pinar Karsiyaka, Hapoel Holon, Tofas Bursa, and Galatasaray, which respectively beat Le Mans, Rytas Vilnius, Cholet, Darussafaka, Rio Breogan, Filou Oostende, PAOK, and Derthona in the first week of the Play-Ins.

Two of the three Greek teams that are playing this week – Promitheas and Peristeri – will have the opportunity to close things up at home after winning on the road in France and Lithuania, while PAOK comes from a 30-point home defeat at the hands of Marcus Denmon and Tofas Bursa.

For the Italian teams, a similar – and different – faith: Derthona needs a win in Istanbul after Galatasaray won it at the buzzer on the road, while Dinamo Sassari already pulled the big upset against 2005-born Tidjane Salaun and Cholet Basket, dragged by the newcomer Brandon Jefferson.

Pinar Karsiyaka could join Galatasaray as two already advanced Turkish teams to the Round of 16 with their victories against Rio Breogan and Derthona, while Darussafaka must prevail over Jayvon Graves and MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg after losing in Germany. Lastly, 2022 Final Four participant Hapoel Holon needs a win in Game 2 against Filou Oostende to proceed.
