After parting ways with UCAM Murcia, Jordan Sakho moved his talents to Rio Breogan for a second stint with the team based in Lugo, Spain.

Sakho, 26, officially joined Breogan on Tuesday, one day before Game 3 of the Basketball Champions League Play-In series versus Pinar Karsiyaka in Izmir. Switching teams, he is set to continue in the BCL and Spain’s Liga Endesa.

With the Universitarios, the Congolese center played in 20 games of FIBA Europe’s top-tier club continental competition. Over six appearances in the 2023-24 campaign, he averaged 5.3 points and 3.5 rebounds per contest, helping his side advance directly to the Round of 16. More experience includes winning the championship with Hereda San Pablo Burgos in 2021.

The Galician team guided by Croatian tactician Veljko Mrsic was seeking a new option inside the paint, leading to the reunion.

Elsewhere in the Champions League, JaCorey Williams penned a contract with Hapoel Bank Yahav Jerusalem for the remainder of the 2023-24 season. His new side won Group G of the Regular Season and placed in Group K of the Round of 16. The next opponents for the team coached by Ilias Kantzouris are Lenovo Tenerife, Peristeri bwin, and Karsiyaka or Breogan.

Another group winner, JDA Dijon moved directly to Group J. Before colliding with Telekom Baskets Bonn and Galatasaray Ekmas, and the winner of Game 3 between MHP Riesen Ludwigsburg and Darussafaka Lassa, La Jeanne replaced Aleksandar Lazic with Leyton Hammonds.
