After parting ways with Zalgiris, Austin Hollins reached a deal with AEK Betsson.

Hollins, 32, signed a contract for the remainder of the 2023-24 season, the team announced on Thursday. A veteran of 120 games played in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague, he will debut in the Basketball Champions League through the approaching six-game schedule of Group L of the Round of 16.

Earlier in the 2023-24 campaign, the former Minnesota standout spent a few weeks with Zalgiris. From launching his professional career in the second-tier division of France, he built his way up to the EuroLeague. Zenit, Maccabi Playtika Tel Aviv and Crvena Zvezda mts were his teams in the competition.

Justin Tillman, Langston Hall, Chasson Randle, Zois Karampelas, Dimitris Flionis, Alfis Pilavios, Omiros Netzipoglou, Dimitris Agravanis, Mindaugas Kuzminskas, Brandon Knight, Giannis Kouzeloglou, Jordan Morgan, Manos Mataliotakis, and Jordan McRae are his new teammates at AEK.

Among the upcoming opponents in Group L, UCAM Murcia officially confirmed a contract extension for head coach Sito Alonso on Wednesday. The Madrid native committed until the end of the 2025-26 season. Taking over the Universitarios in 2019, he is the play-caller with the most head-coaching features in team history.

Rodions Kurucs, Howard Sant-Roos, Troy Caupain, Nemanja Radovic, Dustin Sleva, Marko Todorovic, Moussa Diagne, Ludvig Hakanson, David Jelinek, Arturs Kurucs, Dylan Ennis, and injured Simon Birgander shape the roster heading to the Round of 16.

Advancing through a Play-In series, Promitheas and Hapoel Holon completed Group L.
