The Basketball Champions League Round of 16 has arrived in town

This year’s Basketball Champions League Round of 16 has arrived, and the road to the Final Four will start on Tuesday 23rd, with the first games of such stage starting off. Going group by group, let’s take a look at the first appointments of each team heading into the next phase.

In Group I, Cholet Basket and SIG Strasbourg will face off in one of the two derbies of Week 1, while Unicaja Malaga will try to defend home court against Tofas Bursa. Group J will see both matches of Week 1 be played on Tuesday, with reigning champions of Bonn hosting Galatasaray and Dijon going up against Ludwigsburg.

Pinar Karsiyaka and Lenovo Tenerife will open up the Round of 16 tomorrow at 18:30 CET, waiting for the clash between Vassilis Spanoulis’ Peristeri and Hapoel Jerusalem, scheduled two hours later. The other derby of Week 1 speaks Greek, as Promitheas will host AEK Athens in Group L; UCAM Murcia and Hapoel Holon will finally clash in Spain.
