Only one result was necessary for Hapoel Holon to keep hoping for a spot in the Quarter-Finals of this year’s Basketball Champions League: winning. And they did it, surprising Promitheas 93-92 away.

Leaving UNAHOTELS Reggio Emilia midway through the season to join the Israeli purple-and-yellow side, Kevin Hervey registered a double-double in his first game in this year’s Basketball Champions League with 11 points and 11 rebounds. Tonight, he had 20 points (6/9 FG, 5/6 FT) and 5 rebounds.

The other Hapoel Holon’s newcomer Tahjere McCall went close to a double-double with 14 points and 8 assists, while Yotam Hanochi followed with 12 points and 5 rebounds.

Hunter Hale struggled a lot shooting-wise with 2/9 from the field, but his partner Anthony Cowan tried his best to give Promitheas the win with 30 points, 4 rebounds, and 8 assists.

Cameron Reynolds shot 5/10 from beyond the arc to score 19 points.

UCAM Murcia beat an already-eliminated AEK on Tuesday, but they needed Promitheas to win to advance to the last stage before the Basketball Champions League Final Four. They will now need to win next week to certify their Quarter-Finals ticket.
